Worlds Strongest Man steps up in support of mental health charity

Former professional strong man, Eddie hall and TV personality Jenny Powell joined 200 walkers to mark the first anniversary of a weekly event run by Get Fit 4 Mental Wellness. Get Fit 4 Mental Wellness is a charity dedicated to changing peoples lives through the movement of getting fit for your mental well-being.

They are actively changing the stigma around mental health whether you are young, old, male or female. Currently, they run two weekly free sessions (Wednesday drop-in hub & Scammonden Steps) where absolutely anyone from the public can attend and improve their mental well-being.

The steps began in January 2019 with just 5 people and now every week 75 people of all ages and walks of life gather early Sunday morning to tackle the Scammoden Step Challenge, to not only get fit but to improve their mental wellness. The charity is a big believer that fitness improves mental wellbeing.
